Tracking CLX Online Contact Lens Order

This article explains how to track standard soft contact lens orders placed via CLX and processed to ABB. It details steps for order tracking, required patient and order information, and defines order statuses. For helpdesk tickets, include patient info, order details, and vendor info. For backorder updates, contact ABB directly at 1-800-852-8089, Ext. 2, Option 2.

When This Applies

  • You need to check the status of a contact lens order
  • A patient is asking for an order update for an online order

Before You Start

  • You need the Patient Name and DOB
  • Also need the Contact Lens Order number from the patient's confirmation email

Track Order in Contact Lens Express (CLX)

  1. Log into CLX
  2. Select Order Tracking from the left-hand menu
  3. In Search Filters:
    • Enter the Order # into the CLX Order # field
    • OR, enter the Last Name in the Name field
  4. Click Search
  5. In the results field, the Supplier Order # in CLX will be ABB's Order #
    • If the Order is not found, go back to the homepage and review Orders Needing Verification

Order Status Definitions

  • Ready for Supplier Processing
    → Order is received by CLX and will be sent to ABB (processed hourly)
  • Order Acknowledged
    → ABB has received the order and is preparing it
  • Shipped / Partially Shipped
    → Order has been shipped (fully or partially)
  • Backordered
    → Product is temporarily unavailable
  • Cancelled
    → Order has been cancelled and will not be fulfilled

Expected Outcome

  • You can locate the order in CLX
  • You can clearly identify the current order status

 

If Submitting a HelpDesk Ticket (Required Information)

To receive faster assistance, include the following:

Patient Information

  • Patient Name
  • Date of Birth (DOB)

Order Details (CLX)

  • Order #
  • Was the order found in CLX?
    • Did you check Orders Needing Verification?
  • Current Order Status

Vendor Information

  • ABB Order Number (if available)
  • Have you contacted ABB for status updates?
